What best describes your ideal journey? Blissful? Free? Spiritual? In this first-ever artist collaboration, Hong Kong artist, Zoie Lam, invites you to her hand-painted world, Zlism, to meet her kind-hearted characters and experience a Journey of Joy.

Breathtaking Hand-Drawn Mural

At the heart of our Experience Hub, Zoie’s paintings form a canvas depicting the diversity of our individual journeys on the backdrop of her fictional planet, Zlism. Zoie’s whimsical characters merge and interact with LOJEL’s signature Cubo, Voja, and Niru collections, bringing this vibrant, hand-painted world to life in a captivating mural. The characters inhabit a world that reflects elements from Hong Kong, Canada, USA, Japan, and Singapore, beautifully capturing LOJEL’s global presence and personifying our own “Journey of Joy”.

 

Journey Through Interactive Installations

Immerse yourself in our visually stunning Exploration Tunnel. Adorned with colorful ribbons, move through this interactive artwork featuring quotes that inspire blissful travel memories and form a colorful installation for capturing photos. Plus, don’t miss out on the one-of-a-kind product designs at the end of the tunnel, hand-drawn by Zoie, herself.

Q: What inspired you to partner with LOJEL for this collaboration?

A: LOJEL’s brand ethos aligns closely with my own values as an artist. I am particularly drawn to their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability, as well as their thoughtfully designed products. So, when I received the invitation for this collaboration, it felt like a perfect fit to bring my artistic vision to a broader audience together with LOJEL.

 

Q: Could you delve into the creative inspiration and process behind this project?

A: Travel is not just about the destination, but also about the journey and the stories we collect along the way. The theme of the artwork creation for the Journey of Joy exhibition is “Setting off to find the piece of the puzzle in different stages of life”. It is about the different states of oneself in the various stages of life’s journey. Often, on different journeys, we will find different answers and scenes. Each piece of the exhibition represents the different puzzles found on different journeys. I also believe that in everyone’s life, they need to go out and constantly search to find their own puzzle piece.

A Zlism x LOJEL mural was created on-site. The mural features different world landmarks, capturing the essence of journeying and the emotions that come with it – the excitement of discovery, the nostalgia of past travels, and the anticipation of future adventures.

Q: Are there particular messages or emotions you intend to express through your pieces in this collaboration?

A: I hope that through these works, viewers can resonate with their sense of anticipation and original intention of exploring the world. I also want viewers to be able to embark and set off on their own journeys, and create their memory puzzles for their own story.

 

Q: What key insights or experiences do you hope viewers and customers will gain from
this exhibition?

A: I hope that viewers can walk away with their travel memories recalled, while renewing their sense of adventure and getting the anticipation for setting off on their next travel journey. The thoughtfully designed products of LOJEL would be their perfect companion in their upcoming journeys, they can leave the hectic parts of traveling behind, and focus on enjoying their adventure.
